Reports To: Production Compliance Manager
Pay Range: $16-18.00/hourly

Summary:

As a Finishing Floater, you will be responsible for finishing activities, directly reporting to the supervising finishing personnel. The primary responsibility of the floater is to maintain clear direction of all daily duties to their direct reports and ensuring those tasks/duties are completed. The finishing team plays a vital role in Horizon’s success.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

LEVEL 4 Training Matrix %: 0% Rate: $16.00

  • Assembly and Packaging of quality products in an efficient manner
  • Prepares product for assembly by inspecting and repairing minor imperfections
  • Support and work within a verity of department in the manufacturing and production areas
  • Evaluating parts for quality standards and identifying materials for rework
  • Follow all appropriate safety regulations (PPE)
  • Material handling of fixtures/WIP/finished goods/materials
  • Work scheduled overtime as required
  • Other duties as assigned

LEVEL 3 Training Matrix %: 33% Rate: $17.00

  • Operate small hand tools
  • Responsible for direction of tasks to all finishing employees in relation to daily duties/tasks/objectives
  • Carry out duties as the Finishing Dept. Supervisor and Lead Person specifies
  • Collaboration and coordination with supervisor, provide training for employees; and, as needed, provide direction and feedback
  • Other duties as assigned

LEVEL 2 Training Matrix %: 66% Rate: $17.50

  • Ability to train secondary finishers as required
  • Execution of job changes and set-ups to meet production schedule
  • Responsible for coordinating proper staging, fulfillment, and preparation of materials for finishing operations
  • Responsible for reporting any maintenance problems with fixtures/machines to fabrication/maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

LEVEL 1 Training Matrix %: 100% Rate: $18.00

  • Able to perform all duties/responsibilities of a finisher
  • Able to provide coverage for Production Foreman in their absence
  • Ability to be a leader and create a team environment with team members
  • Ensuring finishing team is compliant with safety standards in accordance with company policy
  • Responds to all inter-company correspondence as required
  • General housekeeping of the finishing area(s)
  • Attend staff meetings as scheduled
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management

  • Communication/Interpersonal Skills (Verbal and Written)
  • Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook/Teams
  • Other software applications as required

Physical Requirements:

Position includes, walking, standing, lifting to 50lbs and working in a production setting.
