Summary:

The sales manager is responsible for driving the success of the sales team by setting clear objectives, providing effective leadership, and optimizing sales processes to achieve revenue goals. This position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales management and will play a crucial role in driving revenue growth and leading a high-performing sales team.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Set sales targets and quotas for the team based on market analysis and business goals.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales representatives by providing leadership, motivation, and guidance to the sales team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets, recognize and reward top-performing sales representatives, and implement performance improvement as necessary.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to forecast sales to support business planning.
  • Implement and utilize CRM systems to track and manage customer interactions.
  • Conduct sales training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team.
  • Evaluate and improve sales processes by identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget to control and optimize expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments and use research to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve products, services and sales process.
  • Generate regular sales reports for senior management and provide insights to sales performance and trends.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing high-vale deals as well as resolve customer concerns and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Attend industry events and networking functions.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Excels at operating in a fast pace, community environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience in sales management.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and technologies is desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach.

Physical Requirements:

Position includes walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, and working in a office and production setting.
