Pay Range: Based on qualifications.

Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Sales Engineer with a strong background in both inside and outside sales, specifically within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical
expertise and sales acumen, capable of effectively communicating complex technical concepts to customers while driving revenue growth.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Set sales targets and quotas for the team based on market analysis and business goals.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance against targets, recognize and reward top-performing sales representatives, and implement performance improvement as necessary.
  • Analyze market trends and customer behavior to forecast sales to support business planning.
  • Implement and utilize CRM systems to track and manage customer interactions.
  • Evaluate and improve sales processes by identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.
  • Develop and manage the sales budget to control and optimize expenses to meet financial targets.
  • Stay informed about market trends, competitors, and industry developments and use research to identify new opportunities and challenges.
  • Gather and analyze customer feedback to improve products, services and sales process.
  • Generate regular sales reports for senior management and provide insights into sales performance and trends.
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through various channels including cold calling, networking events, trade shows, and inbound inquiries. Utilize CRM systems to manage leads, track activities, and report on sales metrics.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of our products/services, features, benefits, and applications. Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and technological advancements to effectively position our solutions in the market.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, offering technical expertise and guidance on our products/services.
  • Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and technical training sessions as needed.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing high-value deals as well as resolve customer concerns and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients in the manufacturing sector. Understand their needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions that meet their requirements.
  • Attend industry events and networking functions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as engineering, production, and logistics, to ensure projects (new business and existing product changes) are executed efficiently, meeting quality standards and delivery timelines from concept to delivery.
  • Responsible for preparing and delivering engaging presentations that highlight the benefits and technical aspects of the rotation molding process and the company's capabilities.
  • Responsible for organizing and providing accurate and competitive quotes and proposals based on customer requirements and company cost calculations and communicating pricing to customers.
  • Responsible for maintaining detailed records of sales activities, customer interactions, and sales pipeline progress.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and articulate complex engineering concepts.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events.

Physical Requirements:

Position includes walking, standing, lifting up to 50lbs, and working in an office and production setting.
